Message from the Superintendent

Hello and thank you for visiting our website. East Clinton is committed to providing a high-quality education for all students. We work to help all students strive to obtain educational excellence.

My job as superintendent is to strive on a daily basis to improve myself and East Clinton in every aspect of schooling. While no person or school is perfect, I believe that improvement is necessary in all walks of life. Whether as an administrator, a teacher, a student, a parent, a factory worker, or farmer, we should all reach toward getting better at what we do.

Academically, East Clinton will provide our teachers with the most up to date, researched-based teaching strategies. We know that all students can learn and that all students learn in their own ways. Students will be at the center of decisions that are made.

Financially, East Clinton will work at being fiscally responsible with the public funds that are entrusted within our care. Again, students will be at the center of decisions that are made.

Students have many lessons to learn throughout their schooling that are not necessarily "academics." East Clinton will be a place where work ethic, taking responsibility, and giving respect is incorporated into daily routines.

The bottom line is that our students will be CHAMPIONS, not only on the fields and courts, but within the building. Our students will be AMBASSADORS to our community and for our community. My vision is for our students to be "Shining Stars" in the classroom and in the community.

Teamwork!!!
Always remember that we are on the same team. Too many times, circumstances arise that create an "us versus them" mind set. Your children, our students, will undoubtedly be the culmination of both life at home and life at school. We want to encourage open communication to assist in producing a healthy environment so that our children will be able to flourish and reach the unlimited potential they have.

East Clinton has accomplished some great things, but what is next? I believe bigger and better things lie ahead. Growth and improvement will be my push. The brand "East Clinton" will continue to grow. As a part of this community, YOU are part of this brand! Ideas and suggestions are welcome. I am open to discussing issues and improvements with you.

Feel free to contact me by email at eric.magee@eastclinton.org, or by phone at (937) 584-2461.

Go Astros!
