The East Clinton Board of Education and its administration would like to thank the East Clinton community for the continued support of the District and our students.

Over-Arching Schedule
- All design and construction document work has been completed since the end of 2020.
- Bid packages were released early 2021.
- Renovations at the elementary buildings began summer of 2021
- Construction on the new middle school building began spring of 2022.
- Construction is set to be completed by January 1 2024.
Currently.....
- Monarch Construction Company is working concurrently on building the new portions of the Middle School and High School as well as renovating the high school.
- The south side addition that includes a new band room, choir room, multipurpose room, wrestling room and updated concessions area and bathrooms is nearing completion. This portion of the building will open with the start of the 2023-2024 school year.
- On the North side addition, the new middle school is taking shape! Brick is complete and the inside finishes are moving along. Many trades are working simultaneously to rough in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components.
- Inside the high school, the media center has been deconstructed and renovated into 3 new classrooms. Other renovations to the High School are nearing completion.
- We are scheduled to move into the new building in late December 2023.
- There will then be a several month window for demolition of the current middle school.
HOW WE GOT HERE.....
In November of 2018 a bond issue was passed for the renovation of both elementary school buildings and of the high school. Along with these renovations a new middle school will be constructed. This project is in conjunction with Ohio Facilities Construction Commission. Ohio is contributing 52% of the co-fundable portion of the project. There are also portions of the project that are locally funded initiates. These are funded 100% by local monies.
In August of 2019, East Clinton was given a final approval from the state controlling board to move forward with the project.
In November of 2019, the architectural firm, Elevar Design Group was selected for the Middle School construction and facilities renovation project.
In December of 2019, visioning work began with teachers, aides, coaches and others to help shape the project design. This is a critical step in ensuring that the needs of our students are met through the design.
Monthly CORE meetings are scheduled to bring the state, the architects, and other key personnel together with district administration. These meetings will ensure communication on maintaining the budget for the project as well as monitoring the schedule to allow for an on-time completion.
